You absolutely can. Most of our subscribers could too. They just never got around to it. Soffit is for people who want it done, not people who can't do it. We bring the right materials, handle everything, and you get your time back.
Is $97/month worth it?
An HVAC tune-up alone is $150. Add dryer vent cleaning, water heater maintenance, smoke detector service, and filter changes, and you're well past $97/month doing it yourself or hiring individual pros. And you don't have to coordinate any of it.
Who is Soffit?
We're homeowners and former tech executives who built Soffit because we were tired of the same problems you're dealing with: coordinating contractors, forgetting maintenance, overpaying for basic upkeep. We're launching in Utah, starting right here in Utah County. The free checkup lets you see exactly what we do before you commit to anything.
What happens during the free checkup?
We walk through your home for about an hour, photographing and documenting every major system: HVAC, water heater, plumbing, electrical, roof, and more. You get the Soffit app with a complete report of everything we found, yours to keep regardless of whether you subscribe.
Can I really cancel anytime?
Yep. Cancel anytime is part of our introductory offer as we launch in Utah County. No contracts, no cancellation fees, no hassle. If Soffit isn't working for you, cancel from the app or just let us know.
Do I need to be home during visits?
Yes. We ask that you're home for all Soffit visits, including the initial checkup and quarterly tune-ups. Visits typically take about an hour, and we'll work around your schedule.
What happens if you find something that's not working or needs repair?
We'll flag it in the app with a photo and a clear explanation of what's going on and what a typical fix looks like. We don't upsell repair work. Soffit is focused on preventative maintenance and documentation. If something needs a specialist, we'll tell you what kind of pro to call and (if you'd like) connect you with someone in our trusted partner network. You decide how to handle it.
What happens if an issue comes up between quarterly tune-ups?
Message us through the app. We're not just a company that shows up four times a year. We're your home partner year-round. Weird noise, water where it shouldn't be, not sure if it's urgent? Send us a photo or description. We'll help you figure out what's going on, whether it can wait, and who to call if it can't. For things we don't handle directly, we'll connect you with a trusted local pro we've vetted.
Who actually does the work?
During the Utah County pilot, one of our local reps will perform each checkup. They are fully insured and background-checked. Every checkup follows a documented checklist covering every major system, and you get every photo and note in the app, so you can see exactly what was looked at and get a second opinion anytime.
Who performs the HVAC work?
HVAC services marked with a † on the services list — furnace tune-ups and AC tune-up & coil cleaning — are performed by Soffit's network of Utah-licensed HVAC contractor partners. Soffit coordinates the scheduling, brings the right materials, and captures every photo and note in your Soffit Report. You get one bill, one point of contact, and a fully documented record of the work.
I have multiple furnaces or A/C units. Are they all covered?
Yep. Every HVAC system in your home is covered under your subscription. Whether you have two furnaces, a mini-split, or separate upstairs and downstairs units, we service all of them. During your checkup, we document every system so we know exactly what your home needs each season. No extra charges for multiple units.
